We would like to start off our car of the month program this year by congratulating one of our longterm members, Jason (Krux303) as car of the month. We encourage others to share the story of their cars and submit a story with a few photos if you want to see YOUR ZX2 on the front page of ZX2 Motorsports!

Jason wrote us a great story about his car we’d love to share! Click more to see the entire article!

.hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { font-size: 10pt; font-family:Verdana } 2003- Bought the car that summer with this being only 16 years old and had hopes to do modifications with this car. At the time I had no idea were I wanted to start off with so I did like most people and join teamzx2.com. I did an intake and the old fashion single burn blue super chip. In English class (almost failed) I would be on ebay day and night looking for the next part. At the time I was looking to go turbo having no idea what was involved in the process. Later giving that up and almost all hopes and dreams for a girl. This girl I was in love with and thought that I would one day marry her so I figured I would get out of the game with cars.

2004- This year the progress springs and tockio struts came on. Other than that I was just saving up for college to move down in apartment. Which I got out of later.

2005- Big year. With this me and the g/f broke up. Knowing that I had car fever in my blood I began to mod it. Now with not being my daily driver (driving a 95 Ford Taurus) I wanted to mod it and show the world on what I could do. Hence getting a cf hood, 98 valve cover swap, kami header, exhaust, 98 valve cover, and ww kit front, etc that year.

2006/2007- I really didn’t do to much. The car had most of the stuff I had previous years. I might of moved the massive subs in the back to make it look cleaner that’s about it. With this time I was going to college and had to re-think my game plan. Knowing this I had not forgotten about the car what so bit. In fact I kept many plans and ideas around my bedroom to what was going to come soon. Soon was 2008-2009.

2008-Got the rest of the pieces for the ww kit. With this I learned some auto body at school from my teacher which majored in all three area’s(painting, diesel and automotive ase certified). With him teaching me stuff after school I learned the basics to get it done. I painted the kit myself and in the mean time of doing that figuring out what rims and how to present my car on being cleaner. The kit got installed and soon enough the rims. With the following months leading to spring I talked to Johnp on how to make my car to stand out from the others. With this he has given me the best advice in the world on saying a couple of simple words “make it easy on the eyes”. With this I have lived by this now. The car got all cleaned up in the exterior for this year.

2009-Interior was next again. With this I finished the display in my car as previous years I had in my plans. I wanted a zx2 logo to pop out in the back similar what Bmw does with M3. With this making it custom and original for car shows. Re-did the trunk too asking seriouszx2 to build me a box and sub that would work perfect with each other. This was great to get as my foundation piece next to bottle in the back.

This is all leading up today. I did leave a lot of content out based on it could be a long day. The car has gone over several changes in its years. With performance adders to interior as well as exterior upgrades. A car is not complete package to me unless it has all of the area matched and well done. I wanted a show car but fast enough to pull a 13 on the track. The car never see’s rain, snow, or bad weather. It is garage kept and gets a full body wash and cleaning that takes up to 8-10 hrs twice a year. The car has been a huge part of my life.

Some people might say it’s a zx2. This is true but it takes a special individual to actually make it more than that. Anybody can diss a car based on they might not have the knowledge nor guidance to go with it. Never be afraid to try new things in life and try to learn. Yes you might screw up and it might not go well but with this comes great knowledge.

http://forum.zx2ms.com/ We hope to see you there!

ZX2MS has been around since 2000. As a longtime standing community, the site has been brought under new ownership as the previous owner has pursued further personal interest in the business world and wanted to ensure that the site would continue to receive the focus that it needed to continue.

We can assure you that the site will continue to grow and will have a new look and feel very soon. In the mean time we encourage you to let your friends and zx2 community members alike to know that the site is back and that the forums are still kicking!
