I seem to remember someone trying it....can't remember if they succeeded or not....but I imagine that it's possibel....probably a Mercury Cougar V-6 would be the easiest.

Lamar is alive & well. Working alot. He did, in fact, sell the ZX2 to a co-worker.  :?  I call him every once in a while to check in on him & discuss the VW GTI he has. He's doing great. The baby sounds like a handfull too. :P

Due to unforseen problems, this project has been put on hold until at least December.

ZX2 Discussion / WTF!?!?!?!

Well, it was Accel for one...but if the alternator was going out, then the screwy amperage could have fried it. A bad alternator will ruin a battery, so I imagine it could to the same to a coil pack.

HAHA...DUDE!!! I just talked to him this evening on the phone. He's sold the ZX2 & wasn't sure if he should still be in here. I told him to get his ass back here, & pronto!

Nah dude...this isn't like what your parrents went through. There are no "contracts" to speak of. It was a cash transaction with a bill of sale & the title signed over. There are no banks or mortgage companies involved, so they didn't HAVE to have insurance. It's their problem now...except I'm a little homeless.

Well, guys & gals, I'm having to post this from a pirated connection(gotta love wireless internet). My place (although we just sold it) got smashed by a tree that got blown over by Huricaine Dennis. We're going back this evening to continue digging through the dammage to see what we can salvage. I still have no idea where I'm going from here, but God will guide me. Amazingly, my pets came out just fine.

Tonight, I'll be here at my mom's house & tomorow at my sister's house. Beyond that, I have no idea. I'll try to keep you all updated as I can.

P.S. The new owners of the house just called as I was typing this telling us that they want their money back now that the house is destroyed. The contract was signed, the check cashed & the title signed over. Oops! They're sh*t outta luck. Sorry people.

(I really wish I had a vacation before the show in WI so I could go down to AL to see Scott and maybe get some help with stuff, but oh well.  I'll figure something out sometime.)

IN another 2 weeks or so I'll be in FL, so comming here to AL wouldn't do you much good....BUT if you came to see me in FL, you would have the help af ALOT of ZX2 owners  8)

Well, I don't think your amp power wire is sufficient for battery relocation. There are relocation kits out there on the market. I would strongly suggest you get one of those. That way, you know the wiring will be good to go.
