Off-Topic / Re: What does everybody pay for insurance?
« on: September 10, 2019, 08:47:05 PM »
Haven't been in here for like... 11 years... lol.  Keeping it on topic though, I have been really happy with MetroMile.  If you haven't heard of them, they charge per mile with a cheap monthly base rate.   Basically you plug in an OBDII dongle but they only use it for satellite tracking, it will also tell you engine codes if you get any.  I pay about $130 a month for full coverage on a 2018 TRD Sequoia and 2016 Fiesta ST... COMBINED.  They also limit the maximum daily mileage charge to 150 miles just incase you want to go on a vacation, so you only pay up to 150 miles that day and it resets the following day.  I have had them for 3 years now and it blows all the other insurance companies away.

I'm still getting a great deal.  State Farm sucks, I got hit by 2 people with State Farm and it took 8 months till I got a check from them.  Not only that I only got 80% of the value because by law any accident is 20% my fault which is bs.

2002 ZX2 = $14 a month ftw!  Owning multiple cars help.  $7 a month on my 1988 Pony Escort, $160 a month full coverage on my 2005 Escape.  I go through Progressive, I get multi-car discount, home-owner discount, clean record discount, loyalty discount.

If no one gets around to the awd conversion I will do it this winter. I'll buy a junked 323 GTX (awd) and do some measurements and make adaptor brackets to fit the zx2 body since I do work with engineers at a machine shop.  The entire rear section will be the 323 GTX setup with custom supports to fit the ZX2 body.  The trans I dont know if it will fit the engine, but if not I'll make a 1/2" adaptor plate to adjust it (it's not as easy as it sounds but I've done it before just not on an automotive application though) and the halfshafts will need to fit the front hubs.  I already know the fuel tank will have to be removed and a fuel cell will need to be installed in the trunk so the rear driveshaft can get to the differential.  I hope you guys are prepared for all of this.  If it is successful, don't count on the kit being cheap and readily available since it will be hard to locate awd 323's and costly making brackets and adaptors to test fit, and only having 2 days out of the week to work at it.  When I am ready to do this I will start my own post with pics, measurements, and other updates.   By the way it will be a lot more money if I create the rear section from scratch, but it is a possible option.

I dont recommend seeing it either, the best part of the movie was when the black pimp landed the plane on the highway to kick off one of his hoes.

For Sale / JBA 4-1 emissions legal header
« on: April 10, 2007, 02:59:25 PM »
I'm selling my JBA header that has CARB numbers which makes it a street legal header.  I had it on my ZX2 for about half a year and 8000 miles at the most.  It's ceramic coated and makes the ZX2 sound good and perform well.  Everyone knows how expensive this header is and I am selling it slightly used with no problems at all for $220 shipped.  PM me if you are intersted.  Reasons for selling is because I am going to try a different header (which will be my 4th header). Here is a pic
