Projects and Worklogs / Re: Premium Package ATX build so far....

That's cool to learn that if it's a low production car it qualifies for exempt.

I need to wait until 2021 to claim mine as a collector here in Minnesota. I barely drive mine due to the weather and my career schedule. My goal is to get it out more and more as time goes on. Also trying to find how much it will set me back to add another garage to my house. One garage for the daily drivers and the second for my summer cars (Zx2 & Mustang).

We are one of the old g's still in the zx2 world. I bought mine in 2003 as well. Why sell it if you like it?

I think I am the only one that still has my z and was zx2ms car of the month. I have it framed in my computer room. Granted its 99 percent of the time in storage due to the weather.

Great to see both of you alive. Thought you moved on in life.

I still have my red 98! It rarely gets driven though. Basically sits in storage 99% of the time. :(

Great to see your still alive! Are you still in the IT field? Plan on moving back to Wisconsin?

Get it fired up and let me know how it works. I wouldn't mind having this as well one day.

Lookin good. Motor is cleaning up well. Cross hatches are still there in the cylinder bore. Just needs to honed now. Everything is coming together very very nicely.

Ford Racing 19lbs are not worth it. They are just more precise on there spraying patterns to each one. Some times injectors can be around 5 or more percent off. Some people like everything blue printed to be almost exact to each other.

Problems, Parts and Diagnosis. / Re: I broke it
« on: September 15, 2010, 11:52:10 AM »
Any decent tran's shop around your local area should be able to do that. Either could be a bent fork a or bad de-tent in the tran's causing it to lock up. I would bring it to a shop have them look over the forks, syncros, and change the de-tents or anything else. There a easy tran's to rebuild.

Sounds like it's hanging. How many miles are on the tran's? Last time it had a flush and filter change? I know my old tran's would do really hard shifts at times. I found out the filter was starting to get clogged and wouldn't allow good flow within the system causing pressure issues. Just because the fluid looks good doesn't mean the filter isn't clogged or etc. Maybe start with something like that first.

Piss pretty much nailed it right on. If you don't have a lot of experience in turbos it could get ugly in a heart beat since there is so much going on vs throwing a intake on. You have the risk of blowing/wrecking your motor very quickly if everything isn't up to par.
